PABR HYDRO POWER PLANT visit, Pennahobilam on 03/03/2025
Department of Mechanical Engineering conducted PABR HYDRO POWER PLANT visit for II-, III- & IV-year Mechanical Engineering students. It helps students to provide valuable insights into hydro power generation enhancing students' practical understanding. They closely observed the working principles of turbines, generators, and control panels involved in power generation. The visit provided valuable insights into mechanical components like penstocks, draft tubes, and turbine blades, helping them understand the energy conversion process from hydraulic to mechanical and electrical energy. The interaction with industry experts enhanced their understanding of power plant operations, maintenance procedures, and real-time challenges in hydroelectric power generation. This visit significantly contributed to bridging the gap between theoretical learning and practical exposure, encouraging students to explore career opportunities in the power sector.
